Meet the Host

Hi! I’m Tiara, the ‘Card Master’ of Speak in Spades, and I have a working theory that language learners like three things: challenges, games, and communities.

As a fellow self-learner, I know how hard it is to stay motivated when no one around you is as excited about languages as you are.

Joining social media groups focused on connecting language learners helped me find a sense of community. I found that other learners were struggling with the exact same thing, but together there was a global interchange of encouragement.

I created the online Card Party Community with all of the love I have for creating safe, supportive, motivating, and engaging learning spaces, and I hope you’re ready for me to cheer you on as you ace your language goals this year!

See you at the party! 🎉
